"Coins For Kids" Program

For an individual $20 donation, you will receive a challenge coin.

The CivPol Alumni Association Board of Directors are please to announce the "COINS FOR KIDS" Program. The goal of this progam is to provide scholarships for higher education. This financial assistance will be provided to college enrolled children of our KIA families.

If we are able to meet our financial goal, we will provide our first scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year.

Surviving children of Law Enforcement Officers Killed in the Line of Duty in the United States receive PSOB scholarship support to attend college. Our KIA's are not yet recognized as Line of Duty Deaths, so their chldren are not eligible for this benefit. The Board has therefore initiated the "COINS FOR KIDS" program to assist our families in overcoming the expensive cost of sending a child to college.

The Challenge coins are a custom design featuring the CivPol Shield ringed by the CivPol Name and our moto "I Am My Brothers Keeper - No Matter How Far Away", which symbolizes our commitment to support our KIA families and injured brothers and sisters. The reverse of the coin features a raised outline of the globe, symbolizing our worldwide service, and the scales of justice, representing our duty to the Rule of Law.
