The time has come to start excercising our collective muscle. I am requesting that members write two letters, one to Senator Reichert and the second to their own representative. Senator Reichert is the Chairman for the House Caucus for Law Enforcement Activities. He is in an excellent position to provide key support to our cause.
A majority of us know somone who was injured or even killed while serving in a police mission, please take that experience and put it in to words so that our representatives understand that we are police officers, and that we have lost friends, loved ones and fellow Law Enforcement Officers who were performing their duties as Police Officers and serving their country.
Please do not wait to do this, we need to have your letters arriving in the representatives offices by the end of June, we have momentum with the National Police Memorial Events just concluding in Washington, DC, we need to strike while the momentm is in our favor.
I want to extend my thanks to Board Members Mark Lewis and Christine Kimbrell for their efforts during National Police Memorial Week on our behalf.
Please write and mail your letters out today, this can be very important for our efforts!
The Honorable Dave Reichert
